Robert is a U.S. Navy veteran who served on nuclear submarines, where nuclear engineering is the job — not a credential, a daily responsibility. After his service, he built and sold an e-commerce business before turning his attention to building Whispering Acres. When it came time to design the park’s electrical infrastructure, he did it himself — every pedestal, every feeder panel, every URD cable run across the property.
That’s not background information. It’s the reason the electrical system at Whispering Acres was done right the first time, and why residents don’t deal with the kinds of power problems that plague parks built on the cheap.

Lives On-Site
Robert lives close to the property. He is not a remote investor who hired a management company and checks reports once a month. When something needs attention at Whispering Acres, the person who responds knows how the park was built because he built it.
That matters when your home is an RV and the electrical pedestal outside your door was designed by the same person who answers when you call.
Why This Park Exists
Most RV parks were designed for people passing through on their way somewhere else. Whispering Acres was built for people who want to actually live somewhere.
The RV parks Robert had seen — and the feedback from full-timers across the country — kept pointing at the same gaps: tight sites packed together, shared amenities that were either broken or nonexistent, neighbors who changed every few days, and management you could never reach. The parks that got it right were rare, and usually expensive.
The vision for Whispering Acres was straightforward: build a park with enough land that people have actual space, install infrastructure that works and is properly engineered, screen the residents so the community has a consistent character, and run it like someone who lives there gives a damn about it.
54 acres gives you room. Background checks give you neighbors you can trust. An on-site owner means accountability that a management company can’t replicate. The goal wasn’t to build the most sites per acre — it was to build a place worth staying.
That’s still the goal. Phase 2 opens more of that same land to more people who want to live that way.
The Property
54 acres in Tallapoosa County, Alabama. Rural, quiet, and closer to three cities than most people expect.
The land sits in Tallassee on Lower Tuskegee Road — mature pines at the back, open pasture across the middle, and two stocked ponds fed by natural drainage. Before Whispering Acres opened, it was undeveloped agricultural land. The bones were already there. The infrastructure — electrical, water, sewer, roads, gates, shelters, amenity buildings — was all built out from the ground up.
Phase 1 — Complete
Original Sites
Phase 1 is full. Every resident went through a background check and most have been here since the beginning — that retention says more than anything we could write. Phase 1 established the character of the community — quiet, maintained, and neighborly in the way that happens when people stay.
Phase 2 — Now Open
New Long-Term Sites
Phase 2 expands the park onto additional acreage with the same full-hookup infrastructure, the same $450/month plus metered electric rate structure, and the same community standards. Large pads, easy access, built to the same electrical spec as Phase 1. These sites are filling. Call, text, or email to confirm current availability.
The property is gated with keypad and app-based access. Security cameras cover the entry and common areas. Four EF-5 rated storm shelters are distributed throughout the property and sized for the full resident population — not an afterthought. The fitness center, laundry, and fishing ponds are open to all residents at no additional cost.

What Veteran Ownership Means for You
It means there’s one person responsible for this park, and that person is reachable, accountable, and has a standard.
Nuclear submarine service produces a specific kind of person. The nuclear program in the Navy is not optional about standards, documentation, or follow-through. You either do it correctly or you fix it until it is. That mentality doesn’t leave when the service ends — it becomes how you run a park.
Direct Communication
When you call Whispering Acres, you reach the owner or a direct contact — not a call center, not a voicemail that goes to a regional manager three states away.
On-Site Presence
Robert is not remote. Issues at the park are his issues. That changes the response time and the quality of the response.
⚛
Engineering-Grade Infrastructure
The electrical system was designed and installed by the owner, who has a nuclear engineering background and built it himself. It was built to be right, not built to be cheap. That means fewer problems for residents down the road.
⚖
No Management Layers
There is no corporate ownership group, no asset management firm, and no property management company. Decisions are made by one person who is invested in this community personally.
🥷
A Standard Held Consistently
Background checks, quiet hours, and site maintenance standards are applied to everyone without exception. The rules aren’t suggestions and they’re not negotiated away for anyone.
👔
Veteran Community Welcome
Fellow veterans live here and are always welcome. The culture of respect, responsibility, and direct communication extends to everyone — but it’s deeply familiar to anyone who has served.
How We Run the Park
Simple operations, kept honest. No gimmicks, no runaround.
Background checks — every resident, no exceptions.
Every adult moving in is screened before their first month begins. Results typically come back in under 24 hours. This is the foundation of the community’s character and it’s the thing current residents value most.
Transparent electric billing at cost.
Electric is individually metered at each site. Around the 24th of each month we pull your reading and bill you at the exact rate we pay Alabama Power — currently $0.19–$0.21/kWh. No markup. No service fee. The bill is your usage times the rate, period.
Maintenance responsiveness.
When something fails on park infrastructure — a water connection, a pedestal, a gate — it gets addressed. The owner has the engineering background to diagnose and often fix problems directly rather than waiting on a contractor’s schedule.
Month-to-month leases, honestly administered.
We ask for 30 days’ notice when you’re ready to leave. If circumstances make that impossible, call us. We’re not trying to trap anyone. The month-to-month structure is a feature, not fine print.
Site standards maintained, consistently.
We have a visual standard for site maintenance. If a site starts to drift — clutter accumulating, rig condition declining — we address it directly. This keeps the park quality consistent for everyone who lives here.
Payment options that work for residents.
Online payment (credit card or bank transfer), cash, or check — no processing fee on cash or check. We keep it simple.
